Als Buchbinder schneide ich mit diesem Plotter vor allem Papiernutzen (Bütten- und Buntpapiere in 130 g/qm) für die Fertigung von Buchdecken und Kassetten zu – ohne Schneidunterlage, stattdessen mit Durchbrüchen in den Schneidlinien. Betrieben wird dieser Schneideplotter unter MacOS mit der Software »Easy Cut Studio«, egal ob über USB oder WLAN – kein Problem mit der Verbindung. Das erste der zwei mitgelieferten Messer (rot, 45°) schneidet nach ca. 12 Nutzen (bis zu 350 x 500 mm) immer noch mit minimalem Druck gut durch, spitze Ecken sind kein Problem. Zum Test habe ich auch schon mal 651er Oracal geschnitten, tut sich an wie bei einem Plotter anderer, etablierter Marken. Normales Arbeiten. Cut & Print habe ich auch schon getestet: die Schnellig- und Genauigkeit der Markenerkennung ist schon eine tolle Sache. Die in der Farbgebung einstellbare Beleuchtung der Arbeitsfläche ist eine große Hilfe. Ich denke, das Gerät wird mir in der Zukunft eine große Hilfe sein.
